Take A Peek: At CES® 2019 in Las Vegas – The Global Stage for Innovation
December 1, 2018
On January 8 – 11, 2019, the CES (Consumer Electronics Show), the largest and most influential technology event on the planet, and the largest of all the hundreds of conventions that take place each year in Las Vegas will descend on the city.
Top industry leaders and rising technology stars will meet to explore the future of innovation, showcasing the newest tech gadgets and services that will be released during 2019. As the CES website explains:
“CES is the world’s gathering place for all those who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. It has served as the proving ground for innovators and breakthrough technologies for 50 years — the global stage where next-generation innovations are introduced to the marketplace. Owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), CES attracts the world’s business leaders and pioneering thinkers, and represents the $292 billion U.S. consumer technology industry.”
After the holiday break, the CES signals the busy time of year in Vegas. The media and thousands of Las Vegas dealers, casino and airport personnel, Lyft and Uber drivers, and hotel, restaurant, and all types of service workers wait all year long, as the 180,000 attendees from 150 countries spread out all across the world famous Strip. It’s a chance for CEOs and CMOs to take center stage to reveal their company’s newest, hottest tech products.
Where Will CES 2019 Take Place?
In 2019, CES will have 11 official venues, more than 2.75 million net square feet of exhibit space, and will feature 24 different product categories. There will be three main areas of CES activity across the city: Las Vegas: Tech East, Tech West, and Tech South.
Tech East includes the Las Vegas Convention and World Trade Center (LVCC), the Westgate Las Vegas, and the Renaissance Las Vegas. Tech West is comprised of the Sands Expo Hall, The Venetian, The Palazzo, Wynn Las Vegas, and the Encore at Wynn. And finally, Tech South encompasses the ARIA, the Park MGM/Park Theater, and the Vdara.
The Conference will start with CES Unveiled Las Vegas, the official media event of CES, where journalists and industry analysts from more 150 countries will gather to get the scoop. It takes place January 6 form 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the Shorelines Exhibit Hall in Mandalay Bay. Whether you’re a techie, a startup entrepreneur, or you work for an established tech-related brand, this is your opportunity to mingle with technology’s latest trendsetters. Last year, the media event attracted 1,500 influential technology journalists from around the globe.
The CES 2019 Awards will recognize two levels of honorees among 28 award categories and represent the best examples of engineering, design and innovation in the world, including: AQUIO Buetooth Waterproff Speaker Bottle, Insta360 Pro 2, Atomospheric Water Genberatir, CoCoon, the Harry Potter Kano Coding Kit, InnovizOne Auto-Grade LiDAR and Computer Vision, and many pother products that cater to all of the latest consumer technology trends. For example, to meet the needs of the tiny house building revolution, there’s the high-tech Tetra countertop dishwasher that looks out of this world.
